Yes. My congressman and senators are both doing the best they can to do good work, against the total opposition of the GOP. We need a tax on carbon to save the ability of the planet to support human civilization. America needs a budget that adds up. You cannot maintain the aloof fiction that both parties are equally bad, they aren’t. The GOP are anti-science, anti-math, and anti-human; and their policies have been devastating to the country and the world.
The national debt has increased by Seven Trillion Dollars since President Obama’s inauguration. This, added to our past debt incurred under Presidents of both parties and certain unsustainable commitments written into our budget, is why we are heading for default.-Republicans have by no means been perfect on this issue, but Republicans have made more efforts to address these problems than have Democrats.
Seems to me the ones advocating and supporting the “Obstruction-Do-Nothing (unless it’s EXACTLY What I Want, My Way !) NO-BAMA, No Compromise”…are the Neo-Cons…the NEW BLOOD (or NEW TEA) you seem to be promoting. If they are dogmatic, “My-Way-or-the-Hiway”, oraclular of the Party-line – from EITHER side, I want nothing to do with them. Many now, particularly on the Right, support the status quo in Congress out of “Primary Fear” – being displaced by radical candidates who will say ANYTHING (and spend any amount of money) to take away even the opportunity of compromise for progress on the Peoples’ business – which is being held hostage by a minority of the “loyal” opposition.
(sarcasm on) So your answer to the Healthcare problems would be "Fire all the incumbent Doctors and get fresh, inexperienced, untainted-by-the-Drug-Companies NEW ones, so as not to support rich guys (and instead support guys who are looking to get rich – BIG college expenses to pay off ! (sarcasm off)
