Don’t worry. The Israelis won’t allow a little thing like innocent civilians to stand in the way of bombing Gaza. They never have. The more civilians the Zionists kill now, the fewer there are to be come refugees when the next wave of Israeli settlements take away land from the Palestinians.

If you hide behind womens’ skirts you must accept civilian casualties. Hamas has no problem accepting those casualties, in fact they make up their public relations campaign to win world sympathy. For the life of me I can’t understand why people can’t see through that and why people are not disgusted by that and how they can blame Israel for that.

Your Israeli now?.The thing about Israel is they don’t purposely seek to kill civilians. If they wanted they could wipe the Palestinians off the map in short order but they don’t.

Things to research…“Sarcasm”“Irony”“Nuance”US History. That last might take some time as to do it right requires reading several books for every ten to forty years covered from the 1600s to the present. C.

Careful, don’t bite your lip or tongue. There’s no vaccine for that, yet.

Michael, “LET’S ROLL!”, you were on a good one. As I was watching the devastation in Gaza City, and around Gaza, it made me ask one simple question; "Why don’t (can’t) they show the destroyed buildings and communities, all civilian, in Israel??? Very simply, a couple holes in an occasional building, and lots of holes in open fields, aren’t very “impressive”…

BTW, even with 2,000 rockets carrying 24 pound warheads, how does that compare to the 300 TONS of high explosives Israel has dropped in on the Gaza population? (This time.)

Hamas is crazy, but they are NOT David taking on Goliath. A better comparison is a mouse defiantly standing against an arsonist started raging forest fire of destruction, who holds, for now, nuclear weapons in reserve. (And yes, just like the U.S., and Israel, the “head mouse” isn’t even living unprotected, in the target zone.)

Hmm, speaking of “leaflets”, I still have one of those “safe conduct passes” we dropped over ’Nam in large numbers for folks to bring in. Our troops tended to respect them, the South Vietnamese; ever hear of the “tiger cages” in South Vietnam, or just shooting the message carrier?

I keep reading reports and information of and from both Israel and Hamas and there seems to be no clear good/bad preponderance of evidence. To me, it does seem Israel has caused much of the ill feeling directed towards them.(and yes, I have read many sources on the history of this area and its people)

Jeffie; among other things, when I had a guy who outweighed my by almost 200 pounds, and had 6 inches in height on me, hit me from behind, I had five stitches over my eye, and he spent 5 months in a coma. When I was taken to court, (for assault and damaging his car with his buddy’s car with his head) the judge assessed from the evidence (he hit me first) what had happened, and announced, “sounds like the little b**tard” finally got what he deserved, case dismissed."- the story is longer and actually, funnier, but that’s the gist of it.

The guy was a city councilman’s son, and his favorite “entertainment” was to beat up a small G. I. every Friday night, because the cops wouldn’t touch him for it. I was the wrong “small G.I.” for him to pick.

I’ve also disarmed armed perpetrators, WITHOUT shooting them, in arrest situations, and lived a real life, in real situations, like combat and law enforcement. I’ve earned the right to use the remote, and get “ticked off” when idiots buy that Israel is defenseless, or that the U.S. needs to spend as much as the next seventeen largest militaries on the planet for “defense”, like in Afghanistan and Iraq.

I’m not any “tough guy”, I’m just as people have noted about my dachshund, very friendly, but it’s not a good idea to “mess” with him. BTW, the TV ad that showed Bruce Lee and stated to the effect of how he changed the image of what a guy at 135 pounds could do, is relevant to a lot of folks I’ve known, fought with, and been friends with. My son had the same experience with SpecOps people in the Navy, and using your BRAIN, is the best way to AVOID having to use the “muscle” unless it’s absolutely necessary.

What annoys me most about my fellow countrymen today is how little need they seem to have for using their brains, when standing behind a huge military as a chickenhawk, serves their cowardly purpose…

Likud is more like a guy who’s trial I sat jury on. He was claiming self defense after biting another guy’s nose off in a bar fight. It turned out this “victim” had been a state weight class wrestling champion three times, had FOUR friends to back him up BEFORE HE started the fight, in case HE started to lose, and he was pushing the guy he “trapped” backwardover the bar, leaning over his body to bite his nose. He was winning the fight HE started, when he bit the guy’s nose off.

AFTER the trial (we convicted him of assault when the truth came out) we found out he’d bitten THREE people before, another guy, a bar MAID, and, a COP trying to arrest him for an unrelated to bars assault charge, on one of his girlfriends he apparently didn’t bite.

My point on this discussion thread is: Don’t underestimate what the “little guy” may be capable of in his own defense, and don’t always assume the “little guy” who starts a fight is always on his own, or the “victim”; and indeed HE may be the real “bully” in the situation at hand, like Gaza.
