Caulfield: People go to the driving range and pay money to do this?
Frazz: Well, they do get to hit actual golf balls.
Caulfield: That's just it. It's more fun splattering crabapples.
Frazz: We gotta go. Here comes the first bee already.
It’s that time of the year already. I was mowing last evening, and trying not to drive over fallen crabapples. The bees were not far behind when I did smoosh a couple.
Ah… Another left handed golfer… which gives me the sense that Frazz’s creator is left handed! If Jef is a lefty, I hope he doesn’t swing his driver like a mallet.
@HarryI notice the kid has a left handed iron and Frazz has a right handed iron. Most likely thrift store extras. Few people carry both sets in one house. But a few strips in the past has made me wonder if Jef is a lefty also.
Bees are a vital part of nature – friendly when not disturbed, not prone to sting unless threatened, and mostly just interested in pollen and helping their nest thrive.

The kid is smarter than he looks (and some adults).

Loved the recipe. For the record, it’s not bees, it is wasps/yellow jackets.

Whacking sweetgum balls would not attract bees/wasps/whatever. Not sure how far they’d go, tho.

Those would be Yellow jackets. Not bees. And yellow jackets, unlike bees, don’t sting once and die. They sting until they empty their venom sac.

Yellowjackets – they’re just a**holes.
