Anyone concerned that Cheney’s views are actually closer to Stalin than Jefferson OR Hamilton? It isn’t about the economic system, it’s about the dictatorial power he covets. Gulag and Gitmo are a lot more alike than anything in our legal system.

I have no problem with nailing the bad guys, but as the right panel shows, it can be done, and follow OUR laws.

The correct answer is why should anyone care what uncle dick has to say about anything?

Well, Chain-he, actually had none of the power he and his master Don Scumfield created, as they hid behind Bush, but President Obama is using the Constitution.

Why did they not shoot Richard Reed off to Gitmo until the military commission thing got worked out? The shoe bomber is just as much our enemy as the BVD bomber, is he not?

How many terrorists did B/C try via military commission?

(Answer: 3; 2 dismissals and 1 guilty plea resulting in a 9 month sentence. As opposed to at least 300 successful prosecutions in civilian courts.)

Cheney’s nonsense is that he decries procedures his own administration used successfully. I wonder why?

As I understand it, under B/C, all terror suspects apprehended on our soil were Mirandized.

    Just b1tchin’ for b1tchin’s sake?

Some forget that in order to rule a world ,you need a little something called legitimacy; ie, you need your allies to like you (not necessarely your enemies).
