The poor man died of a heart attack. He was not choked to death. Too bad Matt Bors didn’t stay with the facts on this one.

A bit inflammatory Matt. Try to get your facts straight. Although the choke hold was wrong, it was not the cause of death. Lying to make your point in this case – shame on YOU!

There are a lot of potential deadly effects from “choke holds” which is why we were trained to use them with great restraint. At the same time, taking down a guy over 300 pounds isn’t easy either. Cops DO screw up, but not nearly as often as folks who resist arrest, like Rodney King.
