I know you can freak out, space out, chill out, be bummed out and even pig out, but how does one “peace out”? If used in saying goodbye, would it not be proper to say “peace, out”, using the “out” as it is used in radio communications, signifying an end to the conversation, with a pause between “peace” and “out”?
