I said the same thing, when I realized the Jetsons lied to me. I was so looking forward to flying cars……..

I’ve heard it said that entropy is the arrow of time. Over time a closed system will go from an organized state (low entropy) to a disorganized state (high entropy). If that is so then why would he want to time travel to the future. It’s got to be in a bigger mess than it is now.

Some years ago now, I read an article in Scientific American about self-cleaning fabrics being developed by studying the lotus. If their work comes to fruition, laundry will become as quick and easy as standing in the rain. And everyone but the dry cleaners would rejoice.

The trouble with the future is that when it gets here it’s all old news

Ziveron – Superhydrophic materials. There’s a spray you can buy and a t-shirt coming on the market. The future is HERE!

You’re going the wrong way. Dishes and laundry were a step forward.

If you saw any of the “demonstration” short films that showed it, they pretty much said that by the 80s, it would be happening. And the Jetsons weren’t depicted that far ahead, to not be around the same “time frame”. In fact, the novel 1984 and some other media, entertainment gave the 80s, 90s, 2000s as a similar….. “target”…. date…..
