Tigger is clueless. Chicago is proof that inconsistent gun laws do not reduce gun violence. You can buy guns where laws are lax, then traffic them to areas where the laws are strict.
A reasonable person would probably think that a National Rifle Association, the spokes-group which purports to speak for all owners of firearms, WOULD support reasonable legislation to see that these weapons do not get into the hands of convicted felons and others of criminal character, in order to safeguard their constitutional rights, bought by our forefathers.
But if the present NRA had its way, there would be a vending machine, like the one above, on the counter of every convenience store in the country!

The machine is full of more ammo for HAND guns, not rifles, which is why, and where, the NRA has gone radically adrift in the last 30 years.
