Um, no. It’s not mutual. The Republicans have OFFICIALLY made their position that they will block anything coming from the Democrats. The Democrats have compromised too often since Obama came into office.
This cartoon is so true! Love it. Though I am curious, what exactly have the democrats compromised on?? It surely wasn’t obamacare, the Republicans continually gave in on raising the debt celling without any real cuts in spending. So really what has the party of “it’s my way or the highway” compromised on?
“I just want the short answer, why is it wrong to require people to buy insurance, given they will just hit the emergency room and not pay otherwise. Why is forcing hospitals to give away substandard care better?”
the short answer: AHCA is not insurance reform it is insurance control. I was forced to join Obamacare now my yes my monthly premium went down while my deductibles double for doctors and tripled for hospitalization. as far as forcing hospitals substandard care you can thank the Democrats for that when the passed the laws that prevented emergency rooms from treating someone for a runny nose.
now I want the short answer from you when does the affordable part for AHCA kick in?
The salient issue is who those ideas are to benefit. In the case of the Republicans, it’s the wealthy and corporations – especially Halliburton, the war profiteers. The Dems at least include actual people, the environment and so on.
The problem with the ACA was they took what was applied in 1 high tax state added 3,000+ pages of complication and ram rodded it through the other 49 states.Ill thought out, ill planned and poorly executed.
