I love how Watterson drew this—the landscape shows the lightheartedness of the philosophy.

Yep, it’s hot, we do nothing then it’s Christmas!!!

But I don’t. And I don’t think Calvin enjoys a winter filled with school work either. I never did.

Children here in KS summer break is almost over school starts 12th and still summer temps. The schools have a/c. Not the majority of the school buses.

I can Testify !

A short time ago, a friend of mine called me and asked what I was doing..I responded, “Nothing”..He said, “That’s what you said you were doing the last time I called!”.I responded, “I’m not done, yet”.

Calvin and his pet tiger Hobbes are playing outside and boy is it hot out there. It is so hot you could get an egg from the grocery store, place it on the sidewalk and watch it cook itself in the hot summer sun.

@rcviper: When Dad discovers the egg on his dashboard, Calvin will have egg on his face.

I would have loved to have a back yard or isolated space like that as a kid.
