Man: Thomas Piketty uses flawed data in "Capital," you know.
Man: His figures on inequality HAVE a FEW ERRORS.
Man: And he wildly overstates the wealth gap!
Man: People only see what they want to see.
Much of world media today is owned by larger corporations. What I would like to post would be way, too long. Instead, I suggest to ALL to see the movie “NETWORK” (1976), starring Peter Finch, William Holden, Robert Duvall, Faye Dunaway and Ned Beatty. It is not only a good entertaining flick, but thought-provoking. Halfway through the movie, Ned Beatty’s performance as Chairman of the Board of a huge mega-corporation, as he lectures the “mad” news anchorman (Peter Finch) about how the world really functions is CLASSIC, and is just as, if not more, relevant today as it was in 1976.
Chris Giles at the FT is producing exactly the line of BS his masters pay him to produce. He’s already been thoroughly discredited by economists more interested in truth than their personal remuneration.

Ladies tell me child birth is hard work, so I guess it’s technically true that those born into wealth got their money by hard work.

Speaking of Chris Giles being thoroughly discredited… just one in an ongoing series being maintained by Brad DeLong.
