I’m not familiar with any of Celine’s songs. Just not to my taste.

And you’ve never seen Titantic? You must be the only two people on the planet.

You’re here, there’s nothing I fear, And I know that my heart will go on We’ll stay forever this way You are safe in my heart And my heart will go on and on

I’ve seen ‘Titanic’, once. The song never stuck in my mind. Thank you for the info, Karen.

Oh sorry, not trying to be mean, it was one of the most overplayed songs that year though.

Karen345 I have the original Titanic with Clifton Webb and Barbara Stanwyck. As a rule I don’t do remakes. So no need to see a knock off - especially if Celine is in it. I am not a fan.

Unfortunately, I’ll be gone before her - otherwise it might be something to look forward to.

Karen, pay no attention. It was one of the better remakes and was done very well. Deserved all the awards.

Gone in Sixty Seconds in 2000 gets the award for worse remake. The 1974 movie was perfect. .

I have not seen Titanic either. I know a few folks who have seen it a dozen times so I figure that makes up for me not being in that loop.

I did get to meet James Cameron (and Bill Paxton) when he was in town shooting the modern day sequences. It was at some meet and greet a government office put on… I went for the free drinks…

I’ve never seen Titanic, mostly because it seems too long to sit through. I am familiar with the song though. They played it on the radio every five minutes when I was in high school.

so will they over play that song when her time comes?

    pearlandpeach:

you are so right, i have a DVD copy of the original gone in 60 seconds and i think it is much better that the one from 2000.

“what would I watch Titanic, I know how it ends” LOL!

    So funny.

But seriously, this is funny and I am glad to know that the fabulous Ms. Dion will be around for a long time.

bleak looking world , that glimpse of 2067—at least the approaching cataclysm of 2012 was apparently not too world ending

Karen, don’t remember the song though I did see the movie. I, like Wild Sox, thought it was a heart so I thought this was something to do with eating. Comicexpert got passed that though and still gave it 4 stars so that’s good.

I like it now that I know it’s a heart. Popular music and sad movies don’t appeal to me. I may watch Titanic when it goes to Cable. I buy many DVDs but would not buy that

How’d Celine live to be 99 with a heart like that? Worst case of cardiomegaly I’ve ever seen!

And it still looks like a stomach.

I liked the remake. The song made me cry - there, I admit it. I do own the movie; haven’t watched for years. I figure someday I’ll watch it again; but start when the ship starts taking on water.

I’ve always been fascinated by Titanic facts and history. I went to the big traveling display a few years ago. In addition to relics, they had an actual rusting piece of the ship - its very sad to view and hear about the rate the ship is rusting away.
