    A false sense of security.

Although this article calls it “gated” there is no actual gate. But it is an exclusive, guarded community.

Warning: This story is grisly, and a bit of a downer. It happened just a couple of counties away from me.http://www.cbsnews.com/news/report-slain-ga-woman-87-suffered-head-trauma/

    “Stupid humans.”

Got that right. Whoever named us “homo sapiens sapiens” was really an optimist and/or braggart.

I guess this puts a new twist on: “What’s the matter Lassie? Is Timmy trapped in the well?”

Gated communities are such a joke. Everyone from the gardeners to the pizza delivery guys has the access number already.

Night, I have to strongly disagree with you on what PC stands for. To the contrary, those who are PC, POLITICALLY Correct, are very often impolite and often hide behind culturally approved thought to make others toe some agenda-driven line. To be PC is to accuse others of bullying while bullying yourself; to squelch critical thought in favor of sounding “right”. It has NOTHING to do with courtesy.

Nabuquduriuzhur: Hate because they were originally (and still are to a great extent) designed to provide an all-white enclave to keep out those with more melanin – regardless of wealth and education. The poetic justice was that several had major fires because the first responders had to travel extra miles to get to the side that had the gate.

We live in a gated community. Everyone that lives on our little road has a gate for their driveway.
