A bit like tandem mountainbiking with a child on the back!

Also need some padding for that wheelbarrow. Landing from bouncing that high had to hurt!

I used to do that! I don’t remember it hurting, either – But I also know that it could cripple me now in my advanced years… ;-)

When my family moved from central California to San Jose, the new scout troop was all about a drum & bugle corps, no camping. I quit, my folks just shook their heads in disbelief.

Shouldn’t the wheelbarrow be red? So much depends on it.

At St. Helen School, Saginaw,MI, I was the monkey bar king monkey….The bars weren’t welded together, they were bolted together….Yup. Some sharp edges there. And don’t fall, because the hard packed dirt below had eroded away, and the jagged edges of poorly poured cement jutted out into the air.

Look, the Boy Scouts are on my crap list because if their stand on gays….But who isn’t these days? The Boy Scouts are a great idea, and almost all the time a great learning experience….The kind you can’t get in school…I still know all my knots. Every camp I’ve ever set up, every trip into nature, everything I know about survival, I credit the Scouts for. Because that’s where it began… Oh, I’ve learned more since, but it was a good place to start, and I believe it still is…
