Science is well-endowed by the government, well-entrenched in academia, and well-represented in the media. Some “cross”.

^Are you referencing Baal? Zeus? While science does recognize variables, they don’t change with fashion, or human cultural influence and mandates, and well, creativity to enforce the laws they want.

You assert that with no data whatsoever. Meanwhile, those of us with actual science on our side (see cartoon above)…http://climate.nasa.govhttp://realclimate.orghttps://www.skepticalscience.comhttp://realitydrop.orghttp://ncse.com/climate/climate-change-101

Science is seeing the world for what it really is, rather than what we wish it was.

    That is not attacking anything.

I suffered a parochial education; eight years of nuns. (and I still feel it in my knuckles!) Religion crept into every subject. But, my seventh-grade nun was different from the others. She was educated, and enlightened. She also taught Science class. One day, all us kids started talking about what doesn’t quite seem logical in the Bible. Instead of damning us all to hell, she told us that we actually do not have the mental capacity to fully understand God. She believed in evolution, and told us that probably at some point of development, when a certain species of ape developed a big enough brain, God probably then imbued it with a soul. When we asked about the seven days of creation, she answered that the writers were relating the general story of creation: God’s days might have been a million years. The point I am trying to make is that she did not have any problem reconciling her faith, her belief in God, with scientic discovery.

You say, “Man caused global warming is a lie.” Would you be so good as to give us the evidence for your claim?

“God is truth, science is just the current data.”It’s your belief that your god is “truth.” It’s also your belief what that truth is. It differs from others beliefs.

None are so blind as those who will not see. Nevertheless, I post because (oddly enough) I was raised in the Catholic Christian tradition and I believe in redemption! I think people can learn if they want to. I also think there are people reading the posts who will benefit far beyond those who happen to spend time posting.Yeah, I’m an optimist.

Maybe it is God that has been raising the sea level since the start of the Industrial Revolution.

Denial is the flip side of religion. People believe in God without a speck of evidence for His existence because they WANT to believe. Deniers with a mountain of evidence under their noses don’t believe because they DON’T WANT to believe.

“There is only one truth. It has nothing to do with beliefs. I may be completely wrong, but the truth cannot be wrong.”Again, that’s your belief.

You seem to be the type that if you coughed up blood, went to see 100 Dr.‘s, 2 said nothing to worry about, 98 said you had lung cancer and needed treatment, you’d go with the 2.

Man-caused global warming is as close to proven fact as science get. No one used to doubt it until “An Inconvenient Truth” raised the possibility that we’d do something about it. The Roger Ailes and Big Oil machine kicked into gear, and a surprising number of suckers were duped into thinking that it was a political matter, and that if you believe in the science you must be gay or liberal.

We aren’t attacking God. We’re attacking idiot conservatives who maintain that climate change is not caused by human activity. Do you honestly believe we aren’t creating CO2? That CO2 is a greenhouse gas? Which established fact breaks the chain for you?
