I think Clay just explained why there’s a gender pay gap in the White House.

Because everything that belongs to the American people can be taken by jerks if they have enough guns. That’s what the second amendment is for.

I thought America was a nation of the rule of law. Nobody has the right to live by frontier law anymore and set their own rules. These freeloaders lost their case in court several times but refuse to recognize the results and the law. So what now, 16,000 other law-abiding tenants on public land also not pay their dues to the American public? Then they fly the American flag in victory – what a bunch of hypocrites!

How about the truth? Bundy has been grazing his cattle on Federal land without paying the fees he owes. His bill is now over a million dollars!

Where are the cons decrying the actions of this leech, this taker, this welfare king?

Honestly, I don’t have enough information to fully understand what is going on. I’m from Wisconsin, originally, where there is a lot of Federal land that gets used for: Hunting, Fishing, etc.

If this really is as simple as a man grazing his cattle without paying his fees then why are the locals all up in arms. Maybe it’s a simple misunderstanding but if he really is cheating the government of his dues then let me be the first Republican to call him a taker.

Bundy the rancher treats the public lands, that belong to taxpayers (and he owes TAXPAYERS over a million dollars in fees) just like Ted Bundy treated women. He’s raped and murdered it, and gotten away with it for far too long. Nevada btw refused to accept over 90% of the land they were offered when the state joined the union. There’s no call whatsoever to “give back” to Nevada what was never theirs, and they in fact refused to accept when offered!! (They only wanted the land around Virginia City, and a few other areas, largely because they didn’t want the expense of taking care of the land that was mostly regarded as “trash desert”.)

@Night-Gaunt – I think this is the point where I explain to you the difference between Data and Information, Opinion and Fact.

There is an enormous amount of data out there but very little can be easily assimilated into Information that can then be used to form a rational opinion.

Unlike you – Who spews venom and excrement at any idea that doesn’t align with your narrow minded view point. I try to get a better understanding of the situation before I take a firm stance.

In this case I stand by what I know as fact: The feds are trying to evict the cattle belonging to this rancher. And the locals are fighting the feds. If it really is just trespass then why are the locals defending his actions? It may be that they don’t like the Feds but more likely they have a reason to believe that he is having is rights trod upon.

In the world of adults things are rarely as simple as black and white.

@Morty – I would share your sympathy for Obama but he brought much of this upon himself.

He walked into office and the first thing he did was goad Republicans by telling him he was going to get his way because “I won”. That’s not hyperbole. Look it up.

Then, with a Democrat majority in both houses he assumed that HE could have anything he wanted. And set about taking America away from many of us (In the name of helping the hardest working people).

The list goes on and on. He alienated enough people to lose his House Democrat majority and it looks like he will lose the Senate Majority come fall. Not because Republican Senators are so much better then Democrats but because the nation doesn’t want the Bunk he’s trying to force on them.

He could fix this for himself. But instead he assumes that the American populace just doesn’t understand what’s good for them. As if we are children that need to be cared for.

It looks like resentment of the nanny state is what will be his demise. He will be remembered as a weak, ineffectual leader. WORSE THEN CARTER. And that is saying something.
