This is what Jim should have done with the last story – given us Walt’s history not some nonsense about the fountain of youth. Glad to see that we are getting it now. I hope that is a long arc with a lot of memories.
Who left Skeezix on the doorstep was revealed shortly before or just after Phyllis died. It was Phyllis and her sister, Skeezix’ mother. I will enjoy the next few days.

Is this from an actually original strip of the 1920’s?

I don’t mind mining for memories. It’s what this strip does best..But I do mind the hypnotist and Skeezix as his captive.

Too bad it didn’t go back a bit further and reveal who left a baby on the doorstep. That’s disappointing, but I still am enjoying this arc.

I’ve been reading what archived strips I can find. I’m taking my time, but the early strips are interesting and baby Skeezix was really cute.
