According to an acquaintance of mine, the only song to be a #1 hit on two different labels at the same time. Not even the Beatles did that…although they did have the top five songs one week in April 1964, precisely because Capitol refused to release any of their stuff until “I Wanna Hold Your Hand,” which allowed two smaller labels to release “Please Please Me” and “She Loves You.”
