I have an extension to Darwin’s theories. It seems every teen is into texting. It is an important part of their culture and like rams butting heads or birds doing courtship dances, it is vital to attracting a mate. In other word, you don’t get a date for the prom if you are not a good texter.
I can see where natural selection will lead us towards a race of large-thumbed individuals.
So there we are in the mall (or wherever young people hang out in a couple of generations). A girl walks by a couple of teen-aged boys. One of them nudges the other, “Get a load of the thumbs on her!”
