A heartwarming and true story:Back in the year of ‘97, I’d finally had it with galloping cable rates (over $30/mo?!? No way!!), so I called them and told ‘em to turn it off. A couple of days later the company’s workers went on strike. The bills stopped, but a month later, a year later and even ten years later, my TV still got basic & std. cable reception, all I’d ever had in the first place. But I rarely watched it; why would anyone? Then, a few years ago, the cable co. went all digital and my reception ended. No problem. Now I have a fine roof antenna and fast DSL internet. It’ll be a cold day in Heck…
Those who refuse to study history! Remember G.U.M., the old department store monopoly, famous for long lines and shoddy products? That’s where we are headed. The USSR will have won the cold war after all.

It’s past time to start regulating Comcast like any other utility.
