I have umbrellas that sometimes get used in the summer when it’s too hot to want to wear a coat or jacket with a hood. If I’m working, I don’t want my hair to do the Little Orphan Annie thing it does when it gets wet. Since it often rains sideways around here, sometimes umbrellas help, sometimes they don’t.

Where I live in the PNW, most people don’t own umbrellas. Most wear rain jackets if it rains heavily.
