@LinguistThey have shown cell phones before (whereas I think the Capps should be using telegraphs, or even smoke signal blankets…….) I think the episodes are funnier when the Capps are in a kind of limbo, with only the tech from its glory days in evidence, but occasionaly more modern social (though not tech) commentary.

After I finish the old ‘50s Superman series I will have to pull up season Two of “Call The Midwife”.-They did an LA cop show that was way more gritty than NYPD Blue. Can’t remember the name but I enjoyed a few episodes. I use those kind of words. It’s the one ‘bad’ habit I keep. Sometimes I wish I didn’t have the kind of stuff happen that brings that out; other times just for fun. -I saw the Bean clip. She loves it. She told me that there was an episode she watched recently where a girl is in labour and she was crying because her mum had died and couldn’t be there for her and the midwife reassured her that her mum actually was with her and always will be.-That’s really sweet.-I think we all swear every now and again. Some more than others. I never swear AT people, Just at my own carelessness.-Glad you enjoyed the Mr Bean clip. I think I’ve seen every single episode throughout my childhood. The US seem to love their cop shows.-You’re lucky I’m not over there when you said that about people screaming when they see my photo but I got a good laugh. Especially when you added the rotating smiley.-May you have a wonderful Wednesday.
You’re so right. There is so much CGI nowadays, that it becomes a crutch to camouflage a bad script. There’s nothing wrong with B&W, as long as the film is struck from a clean negative. Lots of music videos are made in B& W, i.e. “Every Breath You Take”, by The Police.
