I kept wanting to substitute the word “alcohol” in David Brooks’ column wherever he mentioned marijuana, and see if it read any differently. It didn’t. But alcohol is okay for adults.
So, how much alcohol did baby bush and cheney consume in their 8 year occupation of the White House? What about boehner and other republicans? Oh yeah, it was baby bush that was arrested for DUI and received an amazingly light sentence for endangering the public.
How about the black athletes that have gotten away with rape and murder. Also there are plenty of whites in jail on drug charges, Not just the “poor” black person.
Time to end the War.War on Poverty, War on Drugs, War on Terror.For it is not thru waging war do you win these battles..If you teach a man to fish, he will be too happy to provide for his family to consider Terror or Drugs.
The irony is of course that the very capitalistic world with its explosion of ideas and their more ready acceptance is the very ideology she wants to eradicate.
Nobody wants to eradicate capitalism in this country. We just don’t want it striding over us in jackboots. Unfortunately, with the decline of morals among the rich, they realized they could extort money from us to buy legislators to allow more extortion.
