I started my job (I’m the administrative assistant to a financial advisor) in June of 2008. 3 months later I feared for my job. Thankfully, my boss is THAT good; 5 years later & we’re still working.

In a company I worked for we did our Y2K testing on a Friday evening in July 1999. We decorated the office, wore party hats, had noise makers and refreshments (non-alcoholic) and pretended we were in England. (Set the computer clocks late so midnight would come at about 7 PM).

It was either the Y2K bug, Jason pulling a prank, or the computer is just being evil.
