One could replace the sign “Republican” with:.DemocratSkilled and educatedJust getting byHiring.Or, any number of other things.Aside from that what is the context of why this man is unemployed. From his attire it would appear that he wasn’t employed at much of a wage in the past or he would be in somewhat better clothes. Why is the man begging? What? He doesn’t receive unemployment, SNAP, welfare, and other government “assistance?”.The cartoon just seems to be a cheap shot at Republicans and nothing more.
Pretty funny watching Republicans whose party called for the cut in military pension COLAs now scrambling in their districts to rescind it. GOPers who take with one hand pretending to give handouts with the other, if it hits the fan.

You think?
On my patch, the cut off for any kind of assistance, from SNAP through all other forms of state ‘assistance’ is just about $700.
Since you can’t even rent a room in this state for that money, much less cover overheads and transportation, it’s absolutely possible here to be unemployed and near destitute and be eligible for exactly nothing at all.
$700 + is the considered income level for prosperity and economic function here.
I seem to remember Obama saying how there were going to be shovel ready jobs….till he made a joke out of it by saying there must not be as many as he thought. When do you Libs start pointing out that Obama’s had five years to get this guy a job?Oh, that’s right….never. Obama’s just been campaigning for 5 years…he’s had no time to govern.

So what you’re saying is that it is only the Republicans that have jobs and others are out of work? And why is that Mr Bennett?
