You’d think Directv would log all those 771 errors and adjust your monthly bill for the inconvenience.Hahahahahahahahaha!

We have cable, not satellite. But I wish we did. With satellite TV, the local TV channel numbers are in order. That’s one thing I like about it.

What?! Watching television endlessly didn’t put her in a coma? Is that even possible?

In the cafeteria at work around local noon around the equinoxes, it was frustrating to see the satellite signal become overcome by snow/noise, as the bird crossed in front of the Sun. Those not hip to orbital mechanics were grumpy until it was explained to them; happens twice a year; wait an hour or so, this too shall pass.Happy New Year, all!

Maybe they Kate and Lucy should induce a coma to save their sanity.

No wonder she is so cantankerous; has not graduated from the idiot box; and we thought she was sophisticated…

    That’s what I don’t like about it. But there’s over-the-air digital TV. It’s free.

I’m thinking about resolving to send a prayer (or positive vibe, supportive thought-form or whatever) to commenters who use this forum to vent. Maybe her or she is fighting inner or outer opponents we don’t know about. Maybe others can send something positive my way when they see me getting derailed. By the way, HAPPY NEW YEAR to all “Non Sequitur” commenters. Here’s a little piece I think you’ll enjoy:

We use our satellite TV as a weather predictor. Two minutes after the signal goes out, we get clobbered by a severe rainstorm. Two minutes after the signal returns the weather clears.

I have that problem here in the middle of the night in snow storms……easy to fix….just get up there and sweep the dish and the receiver thingy (real technical stuff ya know) …Only way I would lapse like Danae is if it would BLIP during the season finale or season premier of Doctor Who on BBCAmerica….I have priorities!

YOu know what? I don’t care what you guys say, I heard that satellite is reliable and doesn’t cost $85 a month like cable!

When I switched from cable to satellite the cable company asked why I was dropping them. “Cost too much,” said I. “We can give you a lower rate,” said they. “So you admit you’ve been overcharging me all along.” That got no response.

I have rabbit ears on my TV. Also I get good reception as well.. Sometimes I have to adjust the antenna. But the price is right.

I’m reminded of a “Wayne and Shuster” skit from the early sixties. When Johnny Wayne is deprived of TV he falls into a “Como.” (The Perry Como show was a hit program at the time.)
