Although I live in the U.S., my previous phone would write its T9Word as if you were in England, Canada, etc. (“organise” instead of “organize”, “centre” instead of “center”, “analyse” instead of “analyze”, “honour” instead of “honor” for example).
Half of the time, when a smart phone suggests a word, it’s the wrong word entirely. I’ve lost count of how many of my friends have had to post corrections because their smart phones mis-corrected them, but they didn’t catch the errors until after the fact.
And it would be wonderful if smart phones really would correct people’s grammar… but for the foreseeable future, I’m afraid that’s just wishful thinking. I can’t even bear reading news articles any more because so many that I’ve tried to read lately have contained grammar so atrocious that I couldn’t even finish reading them.

I don’t have a problem with smart phones. I don’t have one. My phone is 12 years old and works fine. Call/receive is all I need.
