Your post is offensive, but mostly inaccurate. Most true Christians, including Jesus himself, were liberals. The Democrats do not believe in free stuff: Medicare Part D was free. The ACA was paid for. The Republicans believe in free stuff, but only for the rich (direct subsidies for wealthy farm owners, but cut food stamps for the hungry). And most important, the Democrats are the party of jobs. We wouldn’t need as much welfare if the minimum wage were raised to where it was in the 1960s, and if the government were not actively increasing unemployment through pointless austerity.

That’s not the worst of it – that the soy crop is 90% or more GM. The worst of it is that most of the soy consumed in NA is raw soy. Raw soy is not consumed in Asia, nor is it considered to be healthy. In Asia, soy is only eaten fermented. Raw, the phytoestrogens mess with our hormonal systems, causing subtle but potentially substantial health problems – for both genders.
Clearly you are paying attention to the GM issues. We are being systematically poisoned by ingesting these crops, but we aren’t supposed to be noticing or objecting. BigPharma loves GMO; to them it means ever escalating profits, as the health of the population is destroyed.
Corn, soy, and rape (canola) are all 90% GM in this country, and I haven’t used those products since I discovered that. I’ve also dropped summer squash (zuchini and crookneck), all sugars not positively identified as cane, sugar beets are GM.
Wheat, potatatoes, tomatoes have all been rejected by growers, and dropped by the GM companies, but wheat at least escaped their trials … at least the wheat isn’t being drenched in RoundUp, but we are also hearing that the new wheat strains, (natural strains, we are led to believe) are ‘less digestible’ than the old ones. Will we stop growing those new, undigestible strains? Of course not. They are purported to be higher yielding than the old, digestible strains, so we can eat them, and hope BigPharma can patch the damage.
Monsanto is facing a lot of lawsuits these days, from organic growers and even ‘natural’ growers, who have been systematically and determinedly destroyed by Monsanto, whose crops contaminate those crops. This would be better news if it wasn’t so clear that Monsanto owns the courts, but if they’ll keep at it, they may prevail before we all starve. We are looking at famine, if these agricultural abuses continue; neither the soil nor the water will hold up. Not only do GM crops return smaller, not the larger yields Monsanto claims, but they require more water, a resource we are continually told is failing.
Don’t know what we’re eating for TG dinner this year, but it won’t be seasoned with glyphosate or other toxic waste, if it’s anything I know about. I have some organic kamut wheat, so maybe biscuits and gravy, if I can run down some free range organic, uncured sausage.
Debt free: Pigs aren’t “helpless” folks regularly get killed by pigs, and wild boar are rightly notorious. When I was a kid one of our boars TRIED to kill my dad, nearly took his leg off, but was hanging in the meat locker two hours later, dispatched by Dad’s shotgun before he went to the hospital.
One of the repeated scenes in “Deadwood” the TV series was the disposal of murdered men in the pig pen, it wasn’t just a fiction, but taken from historical incidents.
