Tutu notwithstanding, Heart has always seemed pretty wide-ranging in terms of dance styles. She takes classes in ballet, yes, but around the house she’s as likely (if not moreso) to imagine herself on the Broadway Stage as at Lincoln Center (or wherever they do ballets). To a certain extent, though, dance is dance, and cross-training makes sense (some modern dance troupes incorporate tap within more classical forms).
Of course, the “tarantella” is so named for its resemblance to spider-induced gyrations. See also Lola Montez’s notorious “Spider Dance.”
