If he had any respect for the Constitution he would’ve retired, and taken Thomas with him.

Very funny cartoon! And learning that Scalia only gets his news from right-wing sources explains a lot of the startling ignorance of facts he’s been surprising us with in recent oral arguments.

Words have meaning when spoken or written in the Constitution and the meaning conveyed does not change, even though the common understanding of a word can change over time.

At church, we had an old songbook with the hymn “Hark, an Awful Voice is Sounding.” And since religious terminology is usually so old, there are a lot archaic words, once commonly used, that would set people howling today.

While I have little affection for Mr. Scalia, I do not consider him as ‘corrupt’ as I do Thomas who never once reclused himself even when the SCOTUS was reviewing cases on which Liberty Consulting, a lobbying firm for whom Thomas’s wife works making over 600k, was working. Mr. Scalia’s duck hunting trips with Vice President Cheney during the Bush Administration were inappropriate, but did not have the financial taint of Mr. Thomas’s relationship, through his wife, with a conservative lobbying firm. It is an “offal” example of what is happening to our SCOTUS as well as the congress and white house.Respectfully,C.

You’re being unfair. They went hunting. Cheney did not shoot him in the face. Scalia voted that Cheney did not have to reveal the attendees of the “energy summit”, whose conclusions did not even include the word “conservation”.

Satan actually does have a vested interest in putting forth his brand of political policy. Contrary to the suggested practice of pitchforkery, he is actively pursuing an agenda of a one-world currency, a one-world governing body, and ultimately a one-world religion. It is so obvious one could only miss it willfully.

I’d call Scalia a Neanderthal but, that would demean their accomplishments.
