I thought the offensive part of that team’s name was “Washington”.

My mother taught me to be polite, so I don’t use words that people take as offensive. What did your mother teach you?

Oh, I don’t believe that. Boner is too drunk to know what’s going on in DC.

I would not claim that liberals are always above reproach, but I would also not claim that conservatives are above reproach. A lot of your comments have a pretty sharp edge, for that matter.

Tigger: Don’t do much Bible reading do you? Try Judges; Deborah recruited Barak to defend the country (hardly a terrorist task) and he did it quite well.

But I’m not the one calling anyone names here. I’m calling out the hypocrisy of those that do.Great post. I think it would be immensely helpful if you at least occasionally call out the right side of the aisle. Not because I’m offended or bothered, but because I really don’t like to see anyone banned because they got caught up in a bad moment.There are obviously some folks on both sides who seem to enjoy being obnoxious for pure enjoyment.

Apparently her mother taught her to recognize truth , mine taught me to defend it!Mine, too. She also taught me to fight for anyone who is at an unfair disadvantage.

I certainly don’t mean to single you out — there are lots, on both sides of the political spectrum, who are a lot worse than you’ve ever been. I have often cringed when someone from the left descends to vituperation. And I’m not blameless myself.

If only recognition of the truth were so easy. I’m still looking.

Maybe we can all stick together on this and raise the bar. Do you think we could cross political lines and get others on board?Yes, I’m with you on this! There are always going to be some agents provocateur, but I’ve seen a lot of positive response to the idea that we can be ideologically opposed, but still treat one another with respect.We can at least try & be more civil than Congress! ;^)

So, is it your posit that conservatives are never hypocrites? You’re going to lose that argument. No…Wait…You already did. Sorry.

I will give you credit here. This is actually a seriously presented statement that shows concern about something or someone other than yourself; not something usually submitted by conservatives. But then you got all hypocritical at the end. Still, it was good stuff for awhile.
