True story:I was a Senior Chief in the USN. I was walking down the passage way and passed the Commanding Officer.He: “Hey Senior Chief how you doing haven’t seen you in a Couple of days?”Me: “Fine, sir.”I had been on leave (vacation) for the past week.Moral of the story: A Master Chief had told me once if you can go on leave (Vacation) and everything runs just as if you were still on the job, “You’ve done your job and it’s time to go find another job that needs doing.”I immediately started looking around for another job.I don’t think it’s good to have your job not miss you.
