The popular reaction to Assad’s use of poison gas seems to be that America is war-weary. That this is not our problem; that too many things can go wrong; that we don’t want another war. This reaction despite Obama clearly stating this is not regime change or invasion; that it is a swift, targeted, and sufficiently punitive strike designed to deter further use of poison gas. .Iran backed Syrian Assad and terrorist groups all over the world are cheering: America has lost the will to fight terrorism. We won, we won! America has given up! America has lost! Democracies have lost!.Load up the canisters! Here we come New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, Detroit, London, Paris, Toronto, Amsterdam….ALLAHU AKBAR!!

Just remove medina and mecca from the face of the earth.Which would murder a LOT of innocent civilians, turn our allies against us, and whip the Islamic extremists into a frenzy, and act as their recruiting tool.

    Ansonia:

"Nay, whoever submits his whole self to Allah and is a doer of good, He will get his reward with his Lord; on such shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

The Jews say: ‘The Christians have naught (to stand) upon; and the Christians say; ’The Jews have naught (to stand) upon.’ Yet they (profess to) study the same book. Like unto their word is what those say who know not; but Allah will judge between them in their quarrel on the Day of Judgement."

    The Quran

BTW, “Allah” is just Arabic for the same God of Abraham all “bible religions”, which includes Islam, believe in.

There are other examples in the Quran that Mohammed was far more egalitarian than either Judaism, OR Christianity, but like those other two, “followers”, in latter days, have ignored the wisdom, and generosity of those teachings.

When it comes to killing each other, no bible religion en masse has credibility, even though a few, very few, sects, like the “Quakers” can claim more “peaceful” intent, which is exactly why our “Christian forefathers” tried to kill off the Quakers as well when they attempted to defend the native Americans whose lands were being stolen at the time before our “Revolution” and after!

Directly to the ‘toon, I don’t see intervention being proposed as rational, but at the same time, Kosovo WAS an example of stopping the killing, for a while anyway, and that was Christians in Serbia starting the atrocities! “Peace” prize is still a misnomer, as it represents wishful thinking, and is presented often to those who’ve merely made an effort, unlike Bush/Cheney, and that IS a difference!

This is the worst mistake he has ever made. If you agree, call congress or find a petition against this war.

Sturmmi14: Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Jordan, Libya, Tunisia, Pakistan, Somalia; exactly how many “example” either Israel, or the U.S. have NOT either bombed, occupied, or overthrown their governments are left to make "examples of in the region???

Especially considering Saudi Arabia is our “bestest oil rich buddy”, and Israel is the only military power that has directly attacked U.S. Navy vessels in an act of war, who ARE our real “friends”??

Which, as Qatar is our major friend letting us base our military, what exactly is wrong with looking to Al Jazeera America as a semi-reliable news source? After all , I would call them “friend”.

Maybe if we expanded our perspective, we’d actually start actually thinking about the region with a more realistic, and less bigoted view??
