Ka-ZING!!Truthfully, they should be in favor of it. It could ultimately reduces costs to businesses — unless your intent is to have poor, unhealthy peons.

Why should ANY political organization get favorable tax treatment?-Why should bribes campaign contributions be tax deductible?

The ARWB does not want the American health care system to be improved.-You know, MY health care is just fine. Sorry (not really) if yours isn’t.

“So they provide you with health-care if you can’t afford it. If you can they charge you. What’s wrong with that?”

    Not a thing.

Except the devil is in the details, and the interpretation. What they have always done here in the past, and are doing with this is ‘qualifying’ people for care, if they fall below a certain income level.

The catch is that the government thinks people can live on about 25% of what it actually costs to live.

So the answer to people who ‘fall through the cracks’ of the qualification procedure – that is, those who are sick or impaired but who don’t qualify for ‘help’ will just have to manage or die.

In other words, it’s not an honest system. They will shut as many people out as they possibly can, while exempting the well off from participating. The American public will really not be satisfied until the government is getting the same deal they are – one way or another. It’s hard to see where the resistance to an all-inclusive plan comes from; those who oppose it are, on the whole, those who can afford to buy any kind of health care that appeals to them. The point in a national health care system – however it is paid for – is to cover all, and particularly those who are not well enough off to pay for care out of pocket.

You are right to express contempt for those who accept that our military veterans should be homeless, or that they should have to fight for healthcare. It is utterly contemptible for a government to operate this way.

I don’t know that it is such a strange country, really. It’s not as if it’s the first time a country has been hijacked by the industrialists and well off at the expense of the public. It’s just that it really does seem that by now we ought to know better.

    Evidently we don’t.

Feudalism was SUCH and egalitarian system, that’s why conservatives are trying to bring it back!

There are and have been many forms of “family” in various cultures. Our word “family” derives from the Latin “familia”, but a Roman family was much larger than our families are, with many more relatives included. It’s pretty common for people to think that whatever their own culture does is what is “natural” for everywhere to do; it’s important to learn that there are and have been many other ways to be human and to build a society. I’m not saying that no one should judge other cultures, but knowledge should come before judgment.

It’s incredibly ignorant of the left to assume they know the one true path to any result when time after time they have been proven to be so incredibly wrong.
