I was a similar kind of old fashioned radio for Halloween one year, but my head came out of the top…I had a transistor radio inside that I could work when people fiddled with my dials (sounds kinda naughty doesn’t it?)…Anyway, thanks to the local radio station, I was able to broadcast the original version of The War of the Worlds as I walked around….

I was also a hockey puck one year…..You’d be surprised how many people dress up as hockey players on Halloween…..Of course I was a Cooper hockey puck…..Hey, if you’re gonna be a hockey puck, you might as well be the best…

Anyway, back to the cartoon, that’s sorta opposite of the tin foil hat right?…….BTW, if you want to get great reception, chew on a wad of tin foil for a while…

Ages ago, the radio newswoman I used to hear always said she had a face for radio. Then there was the newspaper strike, when the newspaper reporters were taking any work they could get; this station picked up one such. After playing one of his reports, the newswoman said, “You know how I keep saying I have a face for radio? He has a voice for newspapers.”
