They’re talking about doing just that; but I’m sure it’ll end up costing as much to ‘customize’ your channels.

Because the content has gotten so thin you can stuff 150 channels into the space that was once filled by three.

I remember 2 through 13 and the use of an antenna which we would turn to specific directions for better reception. Then we got UHF channels too.

I had one of those too … the more I think about 1980-1985, the more I remember NOT having cable.

I had an old set that had a channel 1 on it. Went from 1 to 13 with a push-button for each channel.

I remember when Cable was a thing you paid for so that you could watch TV without commercials. That one cable channel was called Cinema 2, which then became HBO, and now everything’s cable, you pay for it like crazy, and some channels are nothing BUT commercials.

3 channels. Channel 8. Renamed BCTV and is now Global TV.CBC. It provided the National News at 10 pm and at 10:30pm in Newfoundland.KVOS TV out of Bellingham. Watched J.P.Patches and lots of old movies on Saturday. Now called Me TV and shows ALL the stuff. MASH. Gunsmoke. Bonanza. Twilight Zone.etc

Frank -a whole bunch of space opened up in the TV when they took out the tubes and put in microchips.
