Reminds me of the funniest auto race I ever saw.It was at a sports car race. Just 2 cars in class, 2 men who were friends (off the track) both winning drivers, equally matched. They were running the road course at Pocono. That course runs through the Nascar infield, then out onto the tri-oval with the finish line on that section.Over the course of laps, the two racers discovered, whoever was behind on the oval could win by a last minute slingshot maneuver. They got slower and slower, each trying to be behind the other on the last lap.Someone set a record that day, for the slowest winning time.

Maybe, Believe as you like,but that story is true.It was an H production race between Randy Canfield and Jim Miller.I spent 16 years (69 to 85) traveling the racetrack circuit – crewing, corner working, even a little driving.I don’t need your validation.
