    I use a dumb phone, it’s charge lasts for a week or more on regular usage. But then if I’m bothering to camp there won’t be a signal anyway ;)

    Solar chargers are small and light. A small UPS, fully charged, is also really handy for site camping. Keeps your led lanterns charged.

    Is this a case of 2 wrongs making a right? 1st wrong: cell phone dies; 2nd wrong: using a cell phone for anything other than emergencies when you’re surrounded by nature’s peace and beauty.

    Cell phones should have an automatic OFF feature to turn them off for a couple of hours each day so kids would have to find something else to do.
