I love bowling. I’m TERRIBLE at it, but love it just the same. Hate beer, tho.

I used to play league when I was 10. Was up to 5 strikes in a game, and a couple spares. My average (after 5 months) was 170 or so (I can’t remember exactly, after 14 years.)

At the old Showboat a instructor bet me $20 he could pick a 7-10 split with one ball. When he crawled down the alley to clear the rest of the pins, he secretly slid to 10 pin a inch toward the gutter. Then he slowly rolled the ball into the gutter,The ball kicked the misplaced 10 right across hit the 7… I lost $20.

I used to bowl in a league in college. I met up with one of my former teammates years later. He suggested we go bowling. I got my bag, ripped it open at the rusted zipper and proceeded to bowl a 235. So far, that’s still my highest game.

That’s what I liked about playing Darts. You can throw with one hand while holding a beer with the other.

“You mean you got credits to graduate from college with those courses ?”-You were required to take a number of physical education classes in college. I took swimming, wrestling, gymnastics, weight lifting. (Not in that order.)-I had been swimming since I was five but in the swimming class I learned a few helpful strokes and drownproofing. Twice off the coast of Angola it kept me from drowning. -It was worth it.

" then you went where ,peace corp ? "-Nah, Vietnam was long over by then. I was working for Texaco International in the People’s Republic of Angola to help the folks earn enough money to meet the needs of the people. (Actually, I personally was there for the adventure and moolah.)
