It’s stable fly season up on the northern Great Lakes……Hot, muggy, off shore or still air….You’re dead by a million bites…They’re a force of nature….Horse flies and deer flies are harmless by comparison… Only black flies come close…

My dog would have snapped at the fly with its mouth, my cat would have batted at it with its paws. My guess is Luddie is shocked that someone would just kill it without trying to eat it, too.

We used to have a siamese that would eat them.

I have 2 cats who are sisters, but only one likes to eat flies.

Every time I’d go to swat a fly, my second-hand cat would bolt for somewhere un-findable. The people that had her first must have used a swatter to ‘train’ her. Two teen-agers ‘playing house’ until they broke up, dumped the cat in the street.

Cats really aren’t clean, they’re just covered in cat spit.
