We started losing that freedom, big time, with the guy in the White House in 1984, so Orwell was right, er, correct, in assuming people would be lulled into giving up their rights, leading to things like, well " the Patriot Act". From the con of the “Acting President”, to the con of Cheney and Bush to get us into Iraq, the current NSA flap is years behind the time to get “concerned”.
One of the things we should be doing is debating the freedom vs. security issue as opposed to who is the bigger culprit.-Of course, we should have been doing that all along
I hope you soon realize that Neocon man is very much a reflection of the republican/tea party. I look at the action, lack of action in addtion to the kinds of things both Democrats and republicans put forth. The words of republicans often are contradictory to their actions.
