I don’t think Burl’s talking about flatulence (get out your brain bleach.)

I think he means Jerry has an obvious “tell” when he lies (including writing a bad check)…

he…..um…. he does what some people do when they’re very nervousor scared.

    X from yesterday….

Thanks for the tip on what to do with all those straws….Drawing them didn’t seem to resolve anything….so I may as well make use of them.

I bet the cashier will hurry up and tally the groceries get them all out fast. Never mind the bags just toss them back in the cart. Oh and tell Jerry “cash only”

TAD is asking about putting groceries in paper or plastic….JERRY and BURL are just being their immature selves pulling TADs leg… while DALE looks amused… JERRY is known for his various smells….. ! ! !

I can’t believe that Jer would risk messing up his life all because he doesn’t want to pay cash. But then again….

Looks like he’s getting ready for a big night at Verla’s; Pork Rinds, a 6 pack of Crustwood Brewery’s “Almost Ale” and Gas-X.

Reading this strip reminds me of a M.A.S.H. episode where the USO show showed up in camp and had to layover for a few days. Major Winchester hated/loved the cheap jokester MC. Well, I feel the same way about the dinette set. Some of their jokes make me cringe and laugh out loud at the same time. It must be the familiarity, Everyone knows their own Crustwoodians.
