When Shirley Temple grew up and had her own house, she asphalted her lawn all over and painted it green.

I no longer have a lawn. After putting in a septic tank system, it looks like the dirt we put in to cover the field lines had a great deal of weed seed in it. Now I cultivate and cut and trim my weeds.

Most lawns are edible, too. Just ask the livestock.

    Where’s the Kool-Aid, he’s melting away!

Ah, yes. Another tribute to the paradox that is Human Nature.Cultivate it so you can butcher it with polluting power toys, resulting in pride that sprang from defensive fields around castle and keep.

Rake up the trimmings for the city incinerator, then pay to sustain the fertilizer and pest controlindustries that further poison our environment.

Perspective and timing. Reality is ethereal.

Its summer. Relax. We have watering restrictions in place since June 1st. So stop the watering. The grass won’t die. It will go a nice dry yellow. And stop growing..Though Larry’s stressing is funny…..Let the grass dry and fry. Yellow is a good colour. It will be a tall lush green before Thanksgiving. (that’s the Canadian Thanksgiving – early October)
