….but, what? Down time? Ohhhhh, no……==Possibilities? Hmm…. maybe sick, maybe temperament…. unless ….the dog is being treated, and Phil’s going to surprise them with the good news, or maybe more….keep hope alive….. is it tomorrow yet?

And, again, the lessons of :=The result of such cruel behavior and abuse… ==And the need to keep from assuming that a dog is friendly enough to approach, until the proper authorities are called….. at least to both rescue and make sure of the situation…..even if one seems friendly…..

Well, a certain way how the vet is going to tend him jumps into my mind…

Either he will be put down if not adopted or the owner wants him back. The owner only paid a fine.

But Phil is thinking of adopting him. Sheesh, people, can we have a LITTLE positive thinking here??

Since a few seem to think Guy is shamelessly self-promoting his interests if he personally posts it, allow me to remind everyone of Guy’s support for the 9th annual Charity Dog Wash to be held accross the country on July 21st.

Donations benefit service dogs for veterans, including Veterans Moving Forward, a 501©(3) public charity.

Once I rescued a stray kitten from the street only to find out from the vet that she had feline leukemia & had to be euthanized. Could this be a sick doggy doomed to a similar fate?

So this poor mutt is now in a “roomy” crate!!? It had more room when it was tied up! At least it could stand up and move a foot or two – but not anymore! Why not put it in a yard with a fence, or let it be free in the house? I can’t stand people who put their dogs in a cage while they’re away for hours. What are you promoting here, Guy? Why not show Phil playing with the dog in a dog park, or taking if for a walk? I don’t think having it confined to a small cage is treating it very kindly. Yeah I know the comments are going to be like: well at least it’s better than having no food or water or shade. Yeah, great, still no freedom. How about playing with it and letting it walk and run?

What’s your problem. Jay is right. The things that are done to some dogs in our society are horrifying. Try watching one of the animal cops shows on Animal Planet, and you will see a sample of what some folks consider proper treatment of a pet.

How about the neighbors. The dog probably whined and barked the whole day making everyone’s life miserable, though they had no responsibility for the pooch.

So, if Phil ends up adopting, whatever puppy dog’s name will be, will he be a comfort dog at the mission? Guy, have you given any thought to a name or possibly asking the readers for names? How about “Bushy” because he isn’t?

But what? At least we won’t have to wait until Tuesday to find out (ie Saturday rehash, Sunday a weekly repeat, Monday a repeat of Sunday, and finally something new on Tuesday – need I mention which strip?)
