Once again, teachers are heroes. Until they ask to be paid the same as anyone else with a degree and a skill set…

teachers are our unsung daily heroes. but, in drastic events like this, they are in the forefront of heroism. so many reasons to thank teachers exist but the lives the teachers saved in OK – wow! how CAN you thank someone for risking their lives to save others!

Thank them, make sure they are paid well, make sure their classrooms are in good repair, make they have the supplies and materials they need to do their job. That is a start. Also, make sure the community has a rewards program for the most excellent teachers.

Whether in a classroom threatened by a gunman, or a tornado, teachers have proven their love for children. It would be interesting to see some of our politicians and anti-tax folks do the same.

^the teachers union must be broken. They should be paid minimum wage with no benefits. that’s what makes good teachers!

Funny that some folks here ignore their own incorrect use of apostrophes, which blows their own puffed up criticism of others’ “poor spelling” and “grammar”. Others choosing not to worship at the altar of your own ideology is not an indication of a warped view of the world. Try stepping out of the echo chamber every once in a while. If you think that teachers don’t deserve the basics (such as adequate materials, environments, class sizes and pay), then you either haven’t set foot in a classroom for years, or are a hard hearted piece of work, indeed.
