No, he draws about how the Chesapeake Bay is healing … thanks to evolution of marine life …

Oh wait! I forgot … according to you and your kind, evolution is a fairy tale …

Actually, that is also happening here on the Pacific Coast, where the National Park Service is trying to shut down Drake’s Bay Oyster Company in Drake’s Estero in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, which has been cleaning up the waters in that body of water for the last 75 years and is losing its lease.…The problem here is that Salazar, the Secretary of Interior and in charge of the NPS, also wants to be the next Governor of Colorado after Hickenlooper bows out and that he wants to win the votes of environmentalists back home—by shutting down an ecologically-friendly and environmentally-friendly operation in the San Francisco Bay Area.…All while leaving the cattle leases on the grasslands above Drake’s Estero alone, where the cattle do their thing and leave their leavings to foul the waters in Drake’s Estero, which the Oyster’s eat for their nutrients and in so doing clean up the waters and that allows for the other wildlife in the area, especially in the wetlands, to continue thriving despite the pollution coming from the cattle on the leased lands.…There’s no reason to leave the cattle leases alone while shutting down the oyster farm other than Salazar, who comes from a ranching family in Conejos County in southern Colorado, probably does not want to offend ranchers whose votes he may want in the gubernatorial elections, especially those that are farthest away from I-25 and where it meets I-70 at the “Mouse Trap”.…On top of that, closing Drake’s Bay Oyster Company is a blow to the local economy in Marin County, where 30-40 jobs will be lost as well as a source of food-grade oysters on the west coast, where the next nearest source is in Washington State.…And since jobs are scarce in California, we can’t afford to lose these, especially since the Campbell’s Soup factory in South Sacramento is going through their final closure phase right now and Lawrence Livermore Labs are looking to trim their workforce by 600 because their funding got cut for next year.…And as soon as this Californicated Coloradoan finishes his current commitments to customers and family in California, he too may leave to return home, and tell his friends, neighbors and relatives in Denver and northern and eastern Colorado what has been done to Drake’s Bay Oyster Company by the NPS under Mr. Salazar’s watch and that he may have approved of closing down operations at Drake’s Estero so that he can get their votes when he runs for Governor and that perhaps it may be better for Salazar to go back home to his family ranch out there in Costilla and plan his retirement.

californicated1: Oyster farms? Oysters are wild animals and can do quite well on their own if not damaged by those wanting a fast buck from exclusive use of nature for themselves.

I heard a republican reply when asked why the sun rose in the east – his answer “It’s Obama’s fault.”The GOP has fought everything they once stood for for one purpose – to block Obama – and as such they will continue to be irrelevent

Not just the sea! Lake Erie used to be considered dead, but has been recovering. Unfortunately the farm runoff has started the cycle again, especially in the Western Basin. And Ohio’s Grand Lake St. Mary’s was so polluted by agricultural runoff that it was declared unsafe the last two summers!

Ansonia: Every conservative poster says it’s ALL Obama’s fault. or Clinton’s, or FDR’s. I, and most liberal [posters, have never said EVERYTHING was Shrub’s fault. We HAVE said that his policies have led us to this situation, ergo, it IS his fault. Besides, quit blaming O for deficits when we all know they don’t matter!
