Finally! A cartoon that shows what people do when a disaster like this occurs. Thank you Mr. Luckovich. Mr. Benson and Breen forgot the heroes in their art.It is at times like this we are reminded that we are neighbors above all else.A relative of mine walked past the explosion sites one hour earlier. While she is fine, not knowing at the time made me appreciate every person I saw running into the smoke and debris to help those caught in the explosion. The two soldiers in uniform, the latino gentleman in the cowboy hat with blood on his hands from helping the wounded, the young girl carrying a friend on her back out of harms way….The tv was full of images of people helping people. This morning, the news is full of people who offered their homes to visitors who were unable to get out of the city.I doubt seriously that anyone asked what political party a person supported before doing so.Gratefully,C.

Don’t weep Mechanic… just decide that whatever happens, you will keep working for “Us” and not let the extremes to the right or left pull you from holding to a united center. If it was easy, everybody would do it.Trustingly, and trying to fix what’s broke,C.

This is precisely what happened — so many, in fact, that the Red Cross had too much blood and asked people to donate later! As a proud Bostonian, I have been warmed by the response of people from all over the world on our behalf in the face of this tragedy. I had four people from Australia and China email me last night to see if my family was okay, and responses from others as they heard. There are many good people out there, and we should not forget that.

There was one whack-job (whom I will not name) who was on TV claiming it was government-backed within HOURS of the bombing. One nitwit even asked Governor Patrick: “Is this another false flag attack staged attack to take our civil liberties?”Answer (with a withering stare): “No. Next question.”

My comments are getting deleted.I am just glad something like this didn’t happen at the Republican Convention or we might have a President Romney and 5 wars in the middle east and Korea.

I’ve already heard some of the idiocracy taking right/left sides on this. Let’s try pulling together on this one, okay?

Thanks, Mike, for honoring those Americans with courage, not the cowards.
