What will he say to Barry when under his watch 1 in 6 Americans live in poverty, 48 million need food stamps to survive and black unemployment is at 14%?

/rant onMr. “Red” Ken Livingstone is full of sour grapes. She took a bankrupt nation (caused by Ken’s cronies) and returned a semblance of what it once was.

Before Baroness Thatcher if the unions said jump the nation shook – I remember the dead not being buried, the rubbish not being collected, not being able to go to hospital and not being able to have a warm meal – everything caused by those union fellows who wanted to feather their own nests.

Housing crisis? Baroness Thatcher allowed people in social housing to become owners of their own home. An attempt to stop this was caused by the Labour councils. She tried to reduce the hold Government had peoples lives. Something that is hated by Mr. Livingston.

She had her principles, and stuck by them. Most people can respect (even if they do not like them.)

    /rant off

That’s a question a lot of politicians should be answering now.

Jesus of Nazareth: When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungered, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Margaret Thatcher was just another extremely rich person who achieved political power and used it to buttress her own class. Being born into wealth (and having married into it as well), she felt a sense of ENTITLEMENT that conservatives don’t like to talk about: the entitlement of class that can only be fed by eating the poor.

As far as I’m concerned Maggie can get right on the down escalator and follow her buddy, Ronnie, to hell.

She IS the one who pointed out at Camp David that GHW was a complete idiot for NOT telling Saddam NOT to “invade” Kuwait as it WAS more than an “Arab to Arab thing”. What started in 91 due to stupidity, still isn’t really over in Iraq.

Thatcher and Reagan were in cahoots to stick it to the poor. They both liked “voodoo economics”. Don’t know what happened after in the UK, but Reagan got the ball rolling with his brand of trickle down. Yeah golden showers trickled down.
