They do exist.They sell you your gun after a thorough background check and an appropriate waiting time. They keep records in accordance to ATF wishes that can’t be enforced. They have a shooting range out back where they teach you how to use and handle your firearm, and even how to properly clean and store it to keep your family and yourself safe. They report suspected “straw purchasers” and hold monthly clinics on gun safety where they inspect guns even if they didn’t sell it to the purchaser to make sure it’s clean and in good working order.I love those guys. I just don’t know them personally…friends of mine have met the good guys tho. ^However, if you are mentally ill, or have a criminal record, or don’t have time to wait for your gun before you off that annoying g/f or b/f or coworker, the Hampton Gun Show is March 22-24. I am a gun owner and I have a CCW permit. I am for any gun laws that can be passed because I understand that there are 11,000 plus people killed by guns in America every year. I dont cling to my gun with reduciulous reasoning. The coarse I took to obtain my CCW could have been passed by a three year old, it was a joke. The portion of the class teaching you how to actually shoot lasted about 5 minutes and constituted you being able to hit a target about15 feet away with a .22 calibur hand gun thus I know for a fact there are people in my state walking around carrying a gun that are mostly clueless as to how to properly use it. There were people in my class that admitted they had not even fired a gun until the testing portion of the class yet not one person failed, what a joke. We also do not have a waiting period in my state. You can walk right into a gun shop and leave with a weapon. We know how dangerous guns are, should it really be that easy to get one? Making it tough to purchase a gun does not infringe on anyones rights so why are the NRA and gun nuts so against it? You got me on that one folks. I have my CCW basically because I purchased a gun for recreational use and figured I might as well have all the licesning that goes with it. The actual classes and process to purchase my weapon were absolutly rediculously easy and a joke.
Trying to answer the question of how many people get killed with guns in the U.S., I would think that would be an easy question to answer.But the people who put out statistics come up with different ways to count. They separate suicides from homicides and accidents from intentional.You might have taken the 11,000 figure from the Center for Disease Control. Other sites come up with numbers as high as 30,000.It makes me wonder if the government is misleading us, again.
Keep in mind – laws passed at the NRA’s ‘behest’ make it legally impossible to maintain accurate records of ‘anything’ gun so blame congress for passing such restrictive laws, not the ‘ethereal’ government. The person who buys the gun legally then gives or sells it to someone who never would pass a background check. We need accountability.
