Yeh.. they just left a couple hours ago. Good sorts. I thanked them for their efforts in propagating their particular cult, I told them all about how their religion started waybackwhen and the stupidity of it all, but they came to convert ME instead of the reverse.. I enjoy such philosophical encounters.. Brings realism to their door-knocking way of life. Skinny kids in suits & ties with a bus-backup are really entertaining.
I agree. You have a choice: agree with everything your leader(s) say or think for yourself. If you do the former, you give up your soul, and if you do the latter, discord and disharmony arise. It’s the human condition.
The danger there is that there is no way to force everybody to agree and they won’t agree without external control over their minds and that won’t work unless those charged with enforcing that control are also controlled. Personal judgment MUST be removed or it will fail (preferably by me, not thee).-For an analogy, let us consider how to solve the Coke/Pepsi debate as to which is better. It is a matter of taste and obvious to an objective observer that Royal Crown Cola is far better than either whereas some other even more objective observer might find it more obvious that all sugary sodas are antiBloombergistic (also known as EVIL) and that nothing but distilled water should bed imbibed.-At which point Budweiser would step in with a contrarian view.-And that’s just beverages. . . . -It is better to recognize a situation than to try to fix all situations, thinking them flaws rather than simply facts.
